Ryokan Katsutaro has 9 guest rooms which come in a range of Double, Twin, Triple or Quadruple room types. All guest rooms are traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami floors and futon bedding.
Japanese style guestroom
Rooms are supplied with air conditioning and heating, a TV, an electric kettle with tea making facilities, an alarm clock, a safe, slippers, and light cotton kimonos called yukata as loungewear. All rooms are non-smoking. Some rooms have an attached private bathroom, and some rooms have access to a shared bathroom. Bathrooms have bathtubs or showers and are supplied with complimentary toiletries. Guests are also supplied with a full set of towels.

No meals are served at Ryokan Katsutaro. However, there are a great range of Japanese restaurants, cozy diners, and relaxing cafes in the neighborhood. For snacks, drinks and daily groceries, the Monmart convenience store is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Guests rate this hotel very highly for its friendly and hospitable service. Check-in time is between 15.00 and 22.00. Check-out time is by 10.00. Luggage can be stored at reception before checking in and after checking out.
The hotel is locked at 22.00 for security reasons, but guests receive a code so that they can enter after that time.
Guest rooms are cleaned every day.
There is a common area on the ground floor with free coffee, and a small library of sightseeing guides and brochures. There is also a computer and printer here which are available for guests to use.

Ryokan Katsutaro is located on the west side of Ueno Park. It is a 6 minute walk from Nezu Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, 12 minutes from Keisei Ueno Station, 14 minutes from JR Ueno Station, and 14 minutes from Ueno Subway Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya and Ginza lines.
