Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North is an apartment hotel located to the north of JR Ueno Station. This is one of three Mimaru hotels in the Ueno area, which include Mimaru Tokyo Ueno East and Mimaru Ueno Inaricho. The apartments at all these hotels are well-furnished and spacious and have their own kitchen and bathroom. There is also a self-service laundry on site.

All apartments are non-smoking and have their own air conditioning, heating, a TV, a combined air purifier and humidifier, and a safe. Each apartment is also supplied with a “Handy” smartphone which can be used by guests throughout their stay. The Handy has unlimited internet access and can be used outside the hotel while sightseeing. The Handy can also be used to make free calls within Japan and also to some international locations.
Each apartment has its own bathroom with a combined bathtub and shower. The following amenities are provided in each bathroom: toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, cotton buds, a hair dryer and a full set of towels.

Each apartment at Mimaru Ueno North has its own kitchen and dining table so that guests may prepare and enjoy their own meals. Each kitchen has a refrigerator, induction hob, microwave oven, electric kettle, and sink. Cooking utensils, cutlery, washing up detergent, a dish washing sponge, and a kitchen duster are also provided.
For cooking ingredients there is a small grocery store which is 4 minutes’ walk from the hotel and a 24-hour supermarket which is 8 minutes away. For those who wish to dine out there are a great range of restaurants, bakeries and cafes around the hotel including a barbecued pork specialty shop, an American-style burger joint, a vegetarian bakery and café, a Chinese restaurant, and restaurants serving Italian pizza and pasta.

The reception is open between 7.00 and 23.00. The reception staff at Mimaru Ueno North are extremely friendly, helpful and can speak both Japanese and English. There is also a tablet at reception which has a translation app for 12 languages including English, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai, French, Nepali, Hindi and Russian.
An electronic concierge called Bebot is available for the guests to use in English and Chinese. Bebot offers guests local recommendations and can even be used to make restaurant reservations.
Check-in time is from 15.00 and check-out time is by 11.00.
The following items can be borrowed from reception: a vacuum cleaner, a rice cooker, a toaster, ironing equipment, and extra blankets.
This hotel has a coin laundry with washing machines and dryers. Laundry detergent can be bought from reception and there is a coin-changing machine so that guests can get coins to operate the machines.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in all apartments as well as in the reception area.
Limited cleaning and bed-making services are provided for each apartment. Bins are emptied and fresh towels are provided every day. A bed-making service is provided only for guests who stay longer than 4 days, on the 4th, 7th and 10th day after checking in. However, daily housekeeping and bed-making services can be provided for an extra fee.
