Centurion Ladies Hostel Ueno Park

Centurion Ladies Hostel Ueno Park is a ladies only hostel offering simple but comfortable accommodation at backpacker room rates. Guests rate this hostel very highly for its cleanliness, for its facilities, and for the friendliness of the staff. The hostel is in a great location in central Ueno which overlooks Ueno Park and the Shinobazu Pond. This is an ideal choice for solo female travelers looking for economical accommodation in Tokyo.

Guest Rooms & Dormitories

Centurion Ladies Hostel Ueno Park has a range of private rooms and “capsule” or “pod” style beds in shared dormitories. Capsules and pods are notable for having their own private flat-screen TVs, as well as reading lamps, power outlets, and privacy curtains. There are four types of private room available:

The Dormitory Room has 4 bunk beds. This is the only room with a private bathroom and it has a bathtub, shower, and toilet.

The Japanese Style Room has 3 futon beds in a tatami-matted room.
The Quadruple Room has 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds.
The Superior Room has 3 single beds and 2 sofa beds. This room also has its own seating area.

All private rooms have their own TVs. All sleeping areas are non-smoking, and have air conditioning and heating.

Showers are shared and are available 24 hours a day. Bath towels are supplied for free. Shampoo, soap, and conditioner are also provided for free. Hair dryers are also supplied in the common washrooms.

Self-Catering & Dining

This hostel does not provide breakfast. For self-catering there is a shared kitchen area with an induction hob, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a sink, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils.

For outside dining, this hostel is very close to the main shopping streets of Ueno and so it is convenient for several cafes and restaurants. There is also a 24-hour convenience store a 1 minute walk from the hostel where you can buy drinks, snacks and basic groceries.

Other Services & Facilities

This hostel has a 24-hour front desk. Guests can check in any time between 15.00 and 23.00, and check-out time is by 11.00.

Lockers are available for guests to store their luggage.

There are soft drinks vending machines in the hotel lobby.

There is a common lounge area on the 7th floor.

This hostel has a self-service laundry with coin-operated machines. Laundry detergent can be bought from reception.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in all areas.

Location

Centurion Ladies Hostel Ueno Park is located to the immediate south of Ueno Park. It is a 6 minute walk from Keisei Ueno Station, 7 minutes from JR Ueno Station, and 7 minutes from Ueno Subway Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya and Ginza lines. Here is a map of the location.
